| Mulberry For Her
Inspired by the cool of the city and the craft of the countryside, Mulberry is known for this unique fashion duality. Founded in 1971 in rural Somerset, where the headquarters still resides, they are proud to still retain and invest in a British factory, one of the last luxury brands to do so. The primary focus is to create products that fuse traditional craftsmanship with modern, innovative design, as seen in bags such as the classic Bayswater and the coveted Alexa, as well as through the constantly developing womenswear and footwear collections.
Autumn Winter 2011 The English countryside comes to town for Autumn Winter 2011. Bustling hedgerows, wild and wonderful woodlands and our favourite English wildlife transport our girl to a thoroughly rural idyll. Inspired by the mysterious inhabitants of burrows and bushels, the film noir expressions of style, ethereal Turner landscapes and the classic attire of traditional country pursuits; the season is both darkly beautiful and totally English countryside-cute in the best Mulberry tradition.
For Her A luxurious colour palette of autumnal shades and new neutrals flows throughout the womenswear and accessories collections for the new season. Prints are rich and detailed, with the painterly Feathered Friends and romantic sepia tones of Rumpled Roses two of the stand-out options. The womenswear collection is all about effortless shapes, tactile luxury and a sense of English tradition and heritage, with a nod to Seventies ease. Draped fabrics, silk blends and pleated detailing reflects this in traditional skirt shapes, culottes and wearable dresses. The new Taylor and Carter bag families focus on the appeal of vintage styles: luxe hardware, classic shapes and intricate, bespoke detailing for their new styles. Old favourites have also had a new season makeover, with Bayswaters and Alexas in luxurious new colours and textures, and adapted styles such as the Heritage Bayswater Satchel and Quilted and Lock alternatives to the classic Alexa.
